Flying from the New World?
- Find a direct flight to any major city in Europe (London, Dublin, Frankfurt, etc.).
- Please note if flying from N. America you will lose a day flying to Europe.
- Look up any budget European Airlines such as Ryanair, Wizz Air, AirBaltic, etc. and look for direct flights to Vilnius Airport (VNO) or Kaunas Airport (KNS).
- Note that European Airlines charges differently for carry-on and checked-in luggage.
- We recommend having at least 3h-4h gap between flights to accommodate any delays.
- Car rentals in Lithuania are inexpensive.
- If you wish to share accommodations (airbnb) we can connect you with other guests that wish to do the same.
Things to know about Lithuania

- No visa required for Canadian or U.S. passports.
- Vilnius is a capital city and Kaunas is the 2nd largest city. They are 1h drive apart from each other.
- Lithuania works under the Euro currency.
- Lithuania is a Schengen area country which allows to travel around Europe without visa.
- Mobile data is very inexpensive in Lithuania. When you arrive at the airport, make sure to stop at a corner shop before you leave airport and buy yourself pre-paid 'Labas' or 'Ezys' SIM card.
